3. Daily Dose: From farm to fridge

Daily Dose, a British cold-pressed juice drinks company, raised a further £3 million this year.

One of the main features of Daily Dose cold pressed juice is the sustainability of the raw material source. Since its founding in 2016, the company has worked directly with UK farmers to recycle waste produce that would otherwise be discarded. This not only reduces the waste of agricultural products, but also gives these raw materials new value. For example, those fruits and vegetables that do not meet the standard shape and size, but are still of good quality, can be used as raw materials for cold-pressed juice.

The company also uses a cold pressing process to make juice. Cold pressing is a technique for pressing fruits and vegetables at low temperatures, which can retain nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and enzymes to the maximum extent possible compared to traditional juicing methods. In the low temperature environment, the nutrients will not be destroyed by high temperature, and the nutritional value of the juice is higher.
